Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is known as a hiker's paradise, with trails to meet every level of experience. But there is so much more to do and see!
Did you know that the park is known as the "wildflower national park"? This world-renowned preserve is home to over 1,660 kinds of flowering plants, more than any other national park. This park also covets its reputation for being the most visited park in the United States! It also boasts an wide variety of wildlife with 66 species of mammals including the black bear and white-tailed deer, and over 200 varieties of birds. Fishing is a very popular activity in the park with various kinds of trout found throughout.
Be sure to visit the observation tower at Clingman's Dome - the highest point in the park - for spectacular views of both Tennessee and the North Carolina mountains.

1 cup oyster sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1/4 cup gin
2 dashes liquid smoke flavoring
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 pounds chicken wings, separated at joints, tips discarded
1/4 cup honey
~ In a large bowl, mix the teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, gin, liquid smoke, and sugar.
~ Place the chicken wings in the bowl, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator 8 hours or overnight.
~ Preheat the grill for low heat.
~ Lightly oil the grill grate. ~ Arrange chicken on the grill, and discard the marinade.
~ Grill the chicken wings on one side for 20 minutes, then turn and brush with honey.
~ Continue grilling 25 minutes, or until juices run clear.
