The Best of Burning Man 2009 - The Creativity of Burning Man

This is the 2nd in a series of posts about Burning Man 2009 submitted to us by a friend who attended the event...

Burning Man is the most creative place I've ever been some of it good, some bad and some ugly but all creative. Everywhere you looked there was something of interest to see, a piece of artwork, something humorous, performance art, things with a twist.

My favorite art piece was a women. She stood about 50 feet tall with metal-dreaded hair, her arms reaching towards the sky. This art was amazing during the day and even more impressive at night.

I have found out since my return that she was one of three huge sculptures of human form. The skin of the huge forms consists of metal chains and rings welded together. She was the tallest of the three facing the Playa.
