Florida RV Golfing

Vacationers who love the thought of hitting the links, and then relaxing in a comfortable RV will find plenty to make them happy in sunny Florida. The Sunshine State caters to avid golfers, and RV resorts including or within walking distance of golf courses abound to keep us coming back. Here's a list of just a few of the Florida RV campgrounds with golf courses on-site or nearby.

Fabulous Florida RV Golfing Destinations
Within sight of NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Titusville, Florida is home to The Great Outdoors, an RV nature and golf resort. In addition to tree-shaded campsites, this Central Florida resort includes a championship 18-hole golf course. This huge resort also includes private fishing lakes, a fitness center and other unique amenities.

Also in Central Florida, Grand Lake Golf & RV Resort offers RV campers a wide selection of campsites, surprisingly hospitable services and a challenging 9-hole golf course. No wonder it was rated "One of the Top Nine Resorts" by USA Today! You'll find this resort in Citra, located between Ocala and Gainesville.

Deer Creek RV Golf Resort in Davenport is home to palm tree shaded campsites, a fabulous clubhouse and a respectable 18-hole executive golf course. Primarily a retirement community, Deer Creek does offer daily rentals, as well.

For a fun-filled weekend for the whole family, try Okeechobee KOA. There's a 9-hole par 34 golf course to keep golfers happy while the rest of the family fishes, swims, boats or plays tennis. Did we mention there are three pools, tennis courts and an outdoor movie theater? This is definitely an RV/Golf resort that will tempt your family to return.

Here's another way to enjoy a great round of golf while camped at a scenic RV campground—make a reservation at Sanlan RV Park in Lakeland. Walk through the private campground entrance to adjacent Bramble Ridge golf course. Twenty-seven holes of golf await you on a gorgeous tree-shaded course, and all campers play at a discount.

For an RV campground near golf courses, as well as the theme parks of Central Florida, Ponderosa RV Park in Kissimmee is a hole-in-one. No fewer than twenty golf courses are within easy range, so make your reservations soon and plan to play more than one course while you're there.

One last park that's noteworthy for the number of nearby golf courses is The Harbor RV Resort & Marina on the shores of Lake Rosalie. Located in Lake Wales, FL, this park is conveniently close to more than forty golf courses. It also offers you the chance to do some serious fishing in between rounds. Camp in your RV among Spanish-moss draped trees and plan some time to explore the lakes and canals in the area.

Florida is simply overflowing with sunshine, theme parks and interesting golf venues. Roll your motorhome down the road to your favorite Florida RV and golf park and spend as much time as you'd like out on the greens this vacation.
