Grand Canyon, AZ

ARCHES OF NAVAJO SANDSTONE, mystical hoodoos, rock temples in a rainbow of colors—the canyon country of Utah and Arizona is extraordinary in its scale and legendary in its beauty, from the epic vastness of the Grand Canyon to the off-trail hiking wilderness of Escalante National Monument.

Our lodge-based adventure begins with a breathtaking charter flight over the Grand Canyon, a half-day raft trip through Marble Canyon, and hikes into and above the Grand Canyon from the remote North Rim. In Bryce Canyon, seemingly created by a master artist, we hike into a labyrinthine wilderness of intricate hoodoos (rock pillars), and in Escalante we traverse mesas and multicolored slickrock to explore secret side canyons lush with cottonwoods and magical waterfalls. In wondrous Zion National Park, with its 3,000-foot redrock walls, one of our options is a thrilling hike through spectacular Zion Narrows, the most famous slot canyon in the world.
