Birthplace of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln's birthplace site features 116 acres of Thomas Lincoln's Sinking Spring Farm. An early 19th century Kentucky cabin, symbolizes the one in which Abraham was born. The cabin is enshrined inside the Memorial Building at the site of his birth. The Unit also includes the Sinking Spring, site of the Boundary Oak tree and other reminders of the Nation's 16th President's beginnings.

On February 12, 2008 the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site will host the kick-off event for the nation's celebration of the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's life. The Lincoln Bicentennial will run from February 12, 2008 through February 12, 2010.
For additional information you may phone the park at (270) 358-3137.
