There are well maintained trails for hiking, cycling, horseback riding or just walking and beautiful bodies of water for swimming, fishing, boating and sailing. You will find excellent campgrounds to park your RV rental and many things for you and your family to enjoy. Bring your camera since there are many opportunities for picture taking and wildlife viewing. Check out Walden Pond Lake (of Henry David Thoreau fame), Quabbin Reservoir and Connecticut River.

If it's history you're after, step back in time and visit Old Sturbridge Village where you'll visit rural New England as it was in the late 1700s to early 1800s. And, go back even further to Plimoth Plantation to see life as it was for Native Wampanoag and Colonial English men and women in the 1620's.
