Find Gas Prices
As your one-stop camping resource, we’re always interested in helping find the best gas prices on your vacation route. We’re going to provide a great tool below to help you find those bargains. But we also wanted to share a fascinating new study which shows how very economical RV camping can be.
According to a recent press release by the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), a study conducted by PKF Consulting found that “typical RV family vacations are on average 27 to 61 percent less expensive than other types of vacations studied.”
The study told us what we at El Monte RV already knew, because we listen to our customers. They’ve told us that travelling by motorhome or RV, including the price of an RV rental, is much less expensive than flying in, picking up a rental car, staying in hotels and eating in restaurants.
The savings made possible by travelling, cooking and sleeping in a motorhome were proven over and over in PKF Consulting’s study. They compared conventional travel options to RV travel for long and short trips, in different parts of the United States. In all but one category, their study found RV camping to be the least expensive option.
Afraid the size of an RV means big fuel bills? That, too, was figured in to this study. Overall, the price of fuel compared to airline tickets, the price of groceries compared to restaurant meals, and the price of renting an RV in which to sleep compared to renting hotel rooms, makes RV camping the best possible travel bargain.
So, don’t be afraid to find your inner camper! Set up your motorhome rental soon here at El Monte RV. Use the guides below to find the cheapest gas prices in America. And get on the road in an RV…it’s still a bargain!
