RV travel can be very liberating and can bring us closer to nature without having to battle the elements. Whether you rent an RV for a weekend or are living the nomad lifestyle, it is very important to follow the Leave No Trace Seven Principles.

At El Monte RV, we are keenly aware of the impact people and vehicles can have on the environment and want our clients to know what that means so they can be good stewards of the environment.

The 3 Free National Park Days

El Monte RV 0 242 Article rating: No rating

Visiting sites run by National Park Service is a great way to experience our nation's beauty. El Monte RV encourages you to rent a small RV and head out to explore during the free national park days. These are national park holidays that do not charge customers an entrance fee at the front gate. Check out all the cheap RVs for rent by El Monte RV and then plan your trip on one of the following three national parks days.

Be aware that rates to camp an RV or pitch a tent to stay overnight are still applicable. Any additional fees for hookups are not voided either, but since the park entrance fee can often be more than the fees you pay to stay, it's worth it. Any park that ordinarily doesn't charge an entrance fee will remain free, so these free days only apply to parks that do charge the entrance fee.

Yes, there are different RV classes. The biggest - Class A - models are usually 26 to 45 feet long and weigh somewhere between 13,000 to 30,000 pounds. Class C RVs are more of a medium size.

While a large Class A might seem more luxurious or other smaller styles more practical for parking, the Class C rental option is a solid middle ground. Let's talk about why you should rent one.

A Class C RV is a motorhome that is constructed on a van chassis. This style of RV has an unleaded gasoline engine. What differentiates this model from Class A is the distinctive feature of an overhang that sits atop the cab. This provides additional sleeping or storage space. An El Monte Class C is smaller than Class A. Let's explore some of the features we really like about a Class C RV rental.
