Camp out in your RV rental while attending some thrilling NASCAR races at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Get a thrill with a Richard Petty Driving Experience at the speedway where you can experience speeds up to 155 mph. Then retire to your RV and join other RVers for a rehash of the race.
Football fans can attend the University of Nevada Football Team games and have their RV motorhome to relax in and invite new friends over to share in the celebration of wins.
National Parks and Historic Sites close to Las Vegas, NV
Not far away, near Baker, Nevada, you will find Great Basin National Park with its wonderful wilderness areas and more than 60 miles of hiking trails. Try hiking the Baker Lake Trail or the Bristlecone-Glacier Trail. You will love getting out into the beautiful environment awaiting you here.
The Lake Mead National Recreation Area is a great place to camp out in your RV rental, where you can freshen up after a swim or a hike. You can also fish, boat or just lounge around soaking up the sun. You will get some great photos so don’t forget your camera gear. The lakes, desert landscapes and wildlife will capture your fancy and make the trip in your RV so worthwhile.
National Forests near Las Vegas, Nevada for Year Round Recreational Opportunities
There is nothing to compare to a scenic drive in an El Monte RV motorhome through the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. This huge forest covers Nevada and a part of eastern California and offers plenty of outdoor recreational fun.
At the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area you have the opportunity to camp, hike, go horseback riding or rock climbing. Don’t miss the wildflowers when they bloom in the spring. This amazing place is only 30 minutes from Las Vegas.
State Parks / Lakes and Rivers
Nevada is filled with lovely state parks and El Monte RV customers take time to visit them all around Las Vegas and southern Nevada. There is Big Bend of the Colorado Recreation Area, with dramatic scenery and lots of boating and fishing opportunities. Cave Lake State Park is another park our customers love to visit. If you love trout fishing, this is the place to go.
Valley of Fire State Park fills you in on some of the desert history, from ancient trees to 3,000-year-old petroglyphs created by early Indian tribes. The visitor center offers amazing interpretive displays. There are southern Nevada desert trails all around Las Vegas and the surrounding area where you can explore and enjoy some solitude.
El Monte RV customers always seem to enjoy getting out on the water, and there is a long list of lakes to visit – Pyramid Lake, Lake Mead, Lake Havasau and Walker Lake to name only a few.
Local Attractions / Amusement and Theme Parks
A short drive from Las Vegas and you will arrive at Bonnie Springs Old Western Town. Step back into time and experience the Old West. Our RV customers have told many interesting stories about posse shows, cowboys and train rides. The kids love the posse show as they help to track down the “bad guy.”
Head over to Springs Preserve where you will find nature exhibits, botanical gardens and more places to hike. The kids love the live animal shows. So do the adults! When you learn the history of the Las Vegas Valley, it makes the trip even more enjoyable.
During the summer months, many of our El Monte RV rental customers head to the Wild Island Water Park to cool off. Another fun place to go is the Las Vegas Zoo with a wide variety of animals and plants to see. A must-see is the Adventuredome Theme Park, with five acres of indoor amusements located on the Strip at Circus Circus. Truly, there can be no better way to see all the sights and experience all the thrills than by getting there and staying in an El Monte RV motorhome.
