RV Vacation Idea: Olympic National Park
Washington
This national park surely has something to interest everyone. With almost a million acres to explore and three major ecosystems, you won't lack for things to do and see here.
Originally created as Mount Olympus National Monument by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1909, it then became a national park when President Franklin Roosevelt signed the legislation to do so in 1938.
The park is an outdoorsman's paradise, offering alpine mountain landscapes, coastline views and rain forest trails. Hiking, wildlife viewing and tidepool exploring are all activities you'll want to experience.

RV Recipe of the Month
Bag Kabobs
Ingredients:
beef or chicken
bell peppers
mushroom
onion
jalapeño peppers (optional)
small potatoes
zucchini squash
fresh garlic
2 to 3 Tablespoons olive oil
lemon or lime
McCormick's salt-free chicken seasoning
powdered butter flavoring
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
lemon pepper seasoning
dill
Directions:
~ Boil potatoes for approximately 4-5 minutes depending on size. (They should still be firm and crisp, not mushy. They will finish cooking on the grill.)
~ Let potatoes cool completely before putting in foil bag.
~ Chop bell peppers, onion and zucchini squash into large pieces.
~ Put chopped vegetables, whole jalapenos, whole potatoes and whole mushrooms into a large foil bag with garlic, olive oil, lemon or lime juice, soy sauce, butter flavoring, lemon pepper seasonings, and dill.
~ Cut meat into large stew size pieces.
~ Put meat in a separate foil bag with 1/4 cup of olive oil, garlic, chicken seasonings, butter flavoring and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. (When using more than one kind of meat, put in separate bags.)
~ Place the foil bags into larger 2 gallon ziplock bags to store while traveling.
~ To cook, remove foil bags from plastic ziplock bags and grill for 8-10 minutes, turning after 5-6 minutes.
~ Let sit before carefully opening bags.
~ Enjoy!

 Terra Pass Carbon Offset Option
We believe in Green RV'ing! El Monte RV offers customers a way to offset the carbon emissions from their motorhome vacation by requesting the carbon offset option. This option is completely voluntary and is a very nominal fee. We encourage you to consider this when booking your trip!
You can request the carbon offset option when you reserve via the call center, or when picking up at the rental counter. It's easy, affordable, and every cent of this nominal fee goes straight to Terra Pass to fund various carbon-offsetting programs.
