RV Vacation Idea: Big Cypress National Preserve - Florida

Big Cypress National Preserve

Encompassing over 729,000 acres of land in southwest Florida, Big Cypress National Preserve is home to a diverse landscape that is home to a wide array of animals and plants.

The elusive Florida Panther, bears, and the well-known Florida Alligator are just a few of the residents of this swampy ecosystem. You'll want to be sure to take an airboat tour to get a look at these inhabitants in their natural habitat. Check this page for permitted operators.

There are campgrounds in the preserve. Please check this page on nps.gov for information.

The closest El Monte RV rental location is in Miami FL. However, if starting your trip from another location is more convenient, we also have many other rental offices, so please visit our locations map to find a location that may be more suitable.

RV Recipe of the Month

BBQ Feta & Hot Banana Pepper Turkey Burger

Ingredients:

Salt and pepper

1/2 cup crumbled Feta cheese

1/4 cup of seeded, chopped Banana peppers

1 pound of ground turkey

4 burger buns

Directions:

~ Preheat your grill to high heat.
~ Mix turkey, peppers and cheese in a large bowl.
~ Season the contents of the bowl with salt and pepper.

~ Make 4 patties from the mixture.

~ Cook the patties for 8 minutes on each side or until well browned.

~ Remove from the grill and add to the buns.

~ Add your favorite condiments.
