Baja California Itinerary
Baja California

Once you pick up your motorhome rental in Los Angeles, you’re going to blaze a trail of fun and adventure down this Western Mexico peninsula. Baja California towns and roadways offer spectacular scenery, fantastic cuisine and thrilling outdoor activities. We’ve put together tips for enjoying some of the stops along the way, but don’t be afraid to create your own adventure!

Ensenada:
RV campers love this city just 90 minutes south of San Diego! Modern, full-service RV parks just steps away from the beach are only part of the charm of Ensenada. The beach, the shops, even the surfing, attract travelers again and again! Taste the seafood or dance the night away in one of the many nightclubs, but don’t miss Ensenada on your Baja California journey.

Mulege:
This palm tree shaded village nestled between two hills is the perfect place for perfect RV camping. Explore the ancient cave paintings. Spend the day scuba diving. Or simply soak up the sun on the beach at El Sombrerito. Travelling in just the right RV, you’ll be rested and ready to sample the delights of this lovely seaside town!

Todos Santos:
Home of a wide variety of birds and wildlife, this coastal town north of Cabo San Lucas attracts birdwatchers and hikers by the thousands each year. If indoor activity is where your interests lie, Todos Santos is fast becoming a cultural and artistic center with a wide variety of galleries. A nice selection of RV campsites near the beach help make this town a ‘must-do’ stop along the way!

La Paz:
Did you know Jacque Cousteau named The Sea of Cortes “The Aquarium of the World?” Why not make your RV your base camp and discover the hundreds of species of marine life in the waters near La Paz? Scuba enthusiasts, snorkelers and kayakers can get up front and personal with sea lion colonies, pods of dolphins and six different species of whales!

Catavina:
Get your camera ready and make a stop in Catavina to record its natural desert beauty. A nearby boulder field will fascinate budding rock hounds! Unusual plant species and Indian cave paintings make Catavina a nature photographer’s paradise. Roll through the desert in the air conditioned comfort of your RV rented from El Monte RV!

San Diego:
Desert, mountains, ocean—what’s not to love about San Diego? The hardest part of this leg of your journey will be deciding which activities to do first! Kids want to visit Legoland? Mom wants to shop at nearby outlet malls? Maybe Dad would like to try his hand at kitesurfing! Why not do them all? The money you’ll save camping in a luxurious RV will make all your dreams affordable!This 19 night trip takes you from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas and back.
