I compared most of the rental options including renting from a private owner on one of those sharing sites, but El Monte's price (with an AAA discount code) was unbeatable. They are very understaffed, hard to get people on the phone, but the Road Bear RV staff was very helpful. I spent about 20 minutes cleaning, was worried the RV might not be clean enough, but they didn't charge any additional fee. One thing that is a bummer and I wish they would be more transparent is the insurance. I called to ask about insurance because most companies will not cover an RV rental, including our insurer, Progressive. The guy said it was around 15 a day which is very reasonable but that's the very base insurance, we chose to spend extra to lower the deductible to 1000, which makes me wonder what the deductible is with the regular insurance. All in, you could spend 45 a day extra just on insurance if you wanted the fullest coverage. It was just the two of us in their largest 2020 class C and it was in great condition. The grey tanks filled up faster than we thought over a 4 day rental(we only used it for 3), but overall it was a very comfortable experience.

We were received excellent at Roadbear. Clear explanations, fast and with enough time to answer any questions. Lovely camper , in very good condition. Upon return the handling was also very efficient. Thanks to Mr Juan Ferron, who is very courteous to customers, we have had a very pleasant experience with Roadbear. In the future we will rent a camper here again!
