No. The security deposit is not an additional rental fee. It is held to cover applicable charges that may arise during your rental and is released after your return, subject to the RV inspection and any amounts you owe under your rental agreement.
The $1,500 security deposit helps cover costs that may result from damage, missing equipment or other charges that are the renter’s responsibility under the rental agreement. The deposit is refundable when no applicable charges need to be deducted.
Your security deposit is released after you return the RV and El Monte RV completes its return inspection. Refunds are typically processed within 7 to 14 business days, depending on your payment method.
Any applicable charges identified after the rental may affect the amount returned.
Charges may be deducted from your security deposit if the RV is returned with damage or missing items, requires additional cleaning, is returned late, or does not meet El Monte RV’s fuel, propane or other return requirements.
